- • Relationship levels with team
- • Commander Hayes trust level
- • Internal Affairs investigation status
- • Final mission choices
Opening Scene: "Endgame"
Episode 5 begins 48 hours after Episode 4's confrontation. The criminal network is planning a major attack, and you have limited time to stop it. Your team is fractured, Internal Affairs is breathing down your neck, and trust is at an all-time low.
Commander Hayes gives you one last chance to prove yourself. The opening scene sets the tone based on your previous choices - it can range from supportive to outright hostile.
Mission Breakdown
Mission 5-1: "Race Against Time"
Locate the attack target before it's too late
Time Limit: This mission must be completed within 45 in-game minutes. Failure results in civilian casualties and affects which ending you can achieve.
Mission 5-2: "Evacuation"
Clear the target area of civilians
- • Elena Volkov (Negotiation with civilians)
- • Marcus Reed (Crowd control)
- • David Kim (Identify threats)
- • Panicking crowds
- • Embedded hostiles
- • Limited time
Mission 5-3: "The Trap"
Confront the masterminds
This is an ambush. The criminals were expecting you. Officers WILL get injured here. Success depends on your team composition and prior relationship levels.
Minimum Success Rate Required: 75% or expect casualties
This mission determines which characters survive to the end. Low relationship scores can result in officers refusing to follow your orders at critical moments.
Mission 5-4: "Point of No Return"
The final confrontation
At the climax, you must make one final decision that determines the ending:
All Endings Explained
Ending 1: "Justice Served"
The "True Good" Ending
- • Used lawful interrogation in Episode 4
- • Lost fewer than 3 officers total
- • All relationship levels above +0.20
- • Commander Hayes trust: High
- • Choose Option A in Mission 5-4
All criminals are arrested and face trial. Your team is commended for their service. Internal Affairs clears you of all charges. You're promoted to Commander Hayes' position as he retires. The city is safer, and you did it by the book. Credits show your team receiving medals of honor.
Ending 2: "Necessary Compromise"
The "Pragmatic" Ending
- • Any interrogation method in Episode 4
- • Lost 3-5 officers OR medium relationships
- • Hayes trust: Medium or High
- • Choose Option B in Mission 5-4
You make a deal with the ringleader - testimony against the network in exchange for witness protection. Most criminals are caught, but the mastermind escapes with a new identity. Your team is divided on whether you did the right thing. You remain on the force but some officers request transfers. Credits show mixed news reports about the outcome.
Ending 3: "Beyond the Law"
The "Dark" Ending
- • Used aggressive interrogation in Episode 4
- • Completed conditional Mission 4-4
- • Hayes trust: Low OR IA investigation: Active
- • Choose Option C in Mission 5-4
You take justice into your own hands. The criminals are "dealt with" permanently, but you're forced to resign before Internal Affairs can prosecute. Your team splinters - some support your actions, others testify against you. You avoid prison but your reputation is destroyed. Credits show you working as a private investigator, haunted by your choices.
Ending 4: "Broken System"
The "Bad" Ending
- • Lost 6+ officers across all episodes
- • Multiple relationships below -0.30
- • Hayes trust: Very Low
- • Failed Mission 5-1 OR 5-2
- • Choose Option D (only available if above conditions met)
Overwhelmed and broken, you resign. The attack succeeds with massive casualties. The remaining criminals escape. Your team is disbanded and reassigned. Hayes is forced into early retirement. Internal Affairs finds systemic failures but no one is held accountable. Credits show news reports of increased crime and public distrust in law enforcement.
